CA400 Cable Assemblies

If your cable run is longer than 15 feet, you should consider using low-loss CA400 instead of CA195 cable. This cable has a larger (0.4 inch) diameter with a loss of 6.7 dB per 100 feet at 2450 MHz (the center of the WiFi band) compared to 19.4 dB per 100 feet for 195 type cable.

The cables are made to order and are available in any length. We use high quality Teflon® insulated connectors.

The standard cable assembly has a male type N connector at one end and a female type N connector at the other end. However, you can specify male or female connectors at both ends for no additional cost. These usually require a short RP-TNC or RP-SMA pigtail to connect to your WiFi equipment. If you're not sure which type connector your WiFi equipment uses, see our reverse-polarized connector info page.

We can also make up these cables with an RP-TNC or RP-SMA connector at one end for direct connection to your WiFi equipment without a pigtail. The standard termination for other end is a Type N male connector to connect to your antenna. If you need a female or other type connector at the antenna end, please specify the type you need and we will make the substitution.

A typical cable assembly is shown in the photos below.
